Project Engineer06-29-16

At Henny Penny, our Project Engineers play a key role in designing a wide range of commercial cooking equipment. The person in this role has the opportunity to be involved with new product innovation from the start of a project to concept development, prototype, testing and right through to production start-up and beyond. In addition, the Project Engineer will design extensions to current product lines to meet the needs of a diverse customer base, as well as finding creative solutions to application problems that occur on our mature products.

Key responsibilities:

• New product design.
• Product modification revisions.
• Coordination of lab testing and evaluation of engineering test results.
• Integrating designs into a manufacturable product.
• Coordinating design engineering activities as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key qualifications we are seeking for the position:

• BSME or MET
• Minimum 5 years experience in a product design/systems design environment.
• Familiar with material selection and the principles of heat transfer.
• Experience integrating mechanical, electrical, and electronic sub-systems.
• Working knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and time management skills.
• Ability to use ANSYS and MatLab development software and report FEA, CFD and simulation analysis.

Product Reliability Manager06-29-16

The Product Reliability Manager will direct and monitor the reliability test efforts with associated data analysis, failure analysis, and reporting for development of new products and the improvement of existing products. This person will analyze preliminary engineering design concepts of our new products to recommend design changes or test methods for attaining customer specified operational reliability, using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies. The Product Reliability Manager will analyze preliminary plans and develop a reliability Engineering program to achieve company reliability objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Utilizes FMEA or formulates mathematical models, using computer-aided engineering equipment, to identify units posing excessive failure risks and support proposed changes in design.
• Determines units requiring environmental testing and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data.
• Reviews engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.
• Observes conduct of tests at supplier, plant, or field locations to evaluate reliability factors, such as frequency of failure, cause, and mode.
• Monitors failure data generated by customer using product to ascertain potential requirement for product improvement.
• Manages the Legacy Product Reliability Improvement Initiative.
• Maintain and develop standards for product, system, and component validation.
• Qualifies Critical Components for use in production.
• Advises and confers with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and recommendations.
• Continuously research and stay up to date with test and instrumentation technology.
• Other duties as needed.

Key qualifications we are seeking for the position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 5+ years relevant work experience in product Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, or Process Engineering.
• Proven experience with statistical methods and measures.
• Working knowledge of Reliability Engineering principles.
• Excellent documentation and organization skills.
• Experience with LabView or graphical block programming software used for data acquisition is a plus.
• Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal departments (production, sales, quality, accounting), contractors, suppliers, inspectors and customers.
