We Conduct Business a Little Differently

We’re employee-owned, which means that we work for each other as well as for our customers. At Henny Penny, we believe our relationships matter; they enable us to get things done for our foodservice operators. We also believe in living our values, so our relationships with each other and with our neighbors enable us to contribute in big ways in the communities where we live and work.

Employee Owners

Our Owners Set Us Apart

We transitioned from family ownership to an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) as a way to preserve our special company culture. Each employee receives shares that grow in value as our company prospers. We still have a chief executive officer (CEO), and individual employees can’t tell him what to do. However, every employee has a direct financial stake in our success.

What We Value Most

Our people come first.

We certainly care about consistent financial performance and the numbers that report how we’re doing. And we definitely focus on making it easy for our customers, who operate the world’s most demanding kitchens, to create consistently legendary food and remarkable experiences.

But as a private, employee-owned business, we can take a longer view. So we do the right things that enable our employees to be excited to work together and prepare them to help our customers meet their commercial cooking challenges.

We offer well-being programs and resources to support our employee-owners and their families in a holistic way: financially, mentally, physically, and socially. We believe so much in this total health approach that we opened the Cares Clinic, which provides high-quality health care services on-site on our Eaton, Ohio campus.
